The Place of the Work is located at 808 Dundas Street, Woodstock, Ontario, N4S 1G4, and consists of the existing former YMCA building, originally opened in 1962. The building is a multi-purpose recreational facility formerly accommodating fitness and recreation spaces, a double gymnasium, a swimming pool, ancillary support spaces, and associated building services. The Work comprises renovations and upgrades to the existing building to accommodate its intended future use as a homeless shelter and support facility. The existing building and site shall be maintained and protected throughout construction, except where removal, alteration, or modification is indicated in the Contract Documents. |
