The contractor shall provide all necessary labour, equipment and materials to complete
the construction works which will generally consist of, but not be limited to:

• Removal of the existing asphalt, waterproofing on the deck surface;
• Conversion of the existing abutments to semi-integral and removal of the
expansion joints at the deck ends, including ballast and wingwall modifications;
• Replacement of approach slabs to suit new deck ends;
• Concrete repairs to existing deck surface, with the installation of new
waterproofing and asphalt surface;
• Concrete repairs to existing girder ends, diaphragms and bearing seats, including
replacement of bearings where noted on the Contract Drawings;
• Concrete repairs and reconstruction of barrier walls to suit the reconstructed
deck ends as shown on the Contract Drawings;
• Removal and replacement of SBGR to the extents of existing guide rail shown on
the Contract Drawings;
• Minor repairs to the existing piers, wingwalls, soffit and abutments;
• Extension of existing deck drains;
• Installation of approach curb and spillways at quadrants;
• Coordination and protection of railway including flagging requirements;
• Restoration of all disturbed areas including placement of granular material and
asphalt placement for road restoration as required;
• Erosion and sediment control measures; and
• Installation of bird nesting prevention.
