Oxford County is following a prequalification process prior to reconstruct Oxford Road 2 (Dundas Street), City of Woodstock. The existing roadway has a 4-lane cross section with curb faced sidewalk on both sides. Between the western limits and Ingersoll Road, the County is pursuing a ‘Road Diet’ initiative to improve overall traffic flow, reduce accidents, and increase safety for all modes of transportation by reducing the existing 4 lanes to 2 lanes, providing a centre two-way left-turn lane, dedicated bike lanes and widened sidewalks. The existing 4-lane cross section will remain between Ingersoll Road and Mill Street. |
